Liveable, sustainable and prosperous - this is our aspiration for Perth. To continue delivering our vision we are seeking an Activity Approvals Officer Obstructions to provide a one-stop approach to the people planning minor works on the City of Perth roads and footpaths

This position coordinates decisions to ensure works within the City’s public places are approved to proceed in a safe, compliant manner and the City provides its best possible service to facilitate a successful outcome for all.

Reporting to the Coordinator Activity Approvals, this position will support the City by:

- Overseeing the approval process of temporary footpath and road closures to facilitate minor infrastructure works, with a focus on minimising the impact on City stakeholders and the public.
- Liaising with internal service units, Government Agencies, and other stakeholders to coordinate the approval of the public realm works.
- Provide recommendations on continuous improvement of guidelines, procedures, and policies for Activity Approvals to improve services and productivity.

To be successful in this role, you will provide an exemplary standard of courteous and efficient service to internal and external customers and stakeholders, both face to face and over the telephone.
