Our Federal Government client is seeking a
**Program Officer **to help implement the Australian Government's priorities for waste and recycling

**About the role**:

- Contribute to and coordinate industry and academic engagement activities
- Undertake desktop research and stakeholder consultation as needed
- Identify opportunities for the department to support industry to increase use of recycled materials in building and infrastructure
- Review and provide comments on research reports and other relevant documents
- Work as part of a cohesive team to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes

**Ideally you will have**:

- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Government and Government processes
- The ability to quickly form productive working relationships with stakeholders
- The ability to think strategically, problem solve and identify effective solutions and opportunities
- Demonstrated program skills, including the ability to undertake research, synthesize complex information, identify and articulate effective solutions

**Desirable**:

- Qualifications in a field relevant to sustainability, materials design or construction
