**About the role**

As a Support Worker with Activ, you will be making a real impact in the lives of others by helping people with disabilities through accommodation and community engagement. We currently have an overnight sleep shift available in Willagee on a** 6-month fixed-term basis** with potential for permanency. This includes 7 shifts a fortnight, including a weekend, hours range from the earliest start of 2pm, to the latest finish of 10am (9 hours worked, broken by an onsite 8-hour sleep period).

Please note that for the 8-hour unpaid sleep period between 10pm-6am, you remain at the home and sleep in your own private room.

**A typical day as a Support Worker may look like**:

- Supporting person-centred plans that identify a customer’s life goals and working to achieve them
- Supporting customers in daily living skills such as meal preparation, housekeeping, showering and toileting, medication administration and attending appointments
- Ensuring positive behaviour support plans are followed; and
- Administration duties and mandatory daily reports.
- Cert III in Individual Support (CHC33015 or CHC33021) - essential
- Previous experience in supporting customers with mental health concerns, and manual handling
- Live locally in the Bunbury region and be able to work the full roster
- Have willingness to support customers of any gender by assisting with personal care (showering, toileting) and domestic duties (meal preparation, housekeeping)
- Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.
- Passion for providing service and assistance and helping others live their best lives.
- Previous experience or willingness to train in manual handling and medication administration.
- Proven administration and computer literacy skills.
- A valid driver’s licence and a willingness to use your private vehicle (with rebates available).
