**The Role**

The Procurement Sourcing Officer works with the Procurement Sourcing Specialists in Planet Innovation business units consisting of Design and Manufacturing to ensure that best value procurement is being practiced at all stages of the Product Development Cycle.

The role supports ensuring that all processes are carried out in adherence to regulatory guidelines and internal business compliance with the broader Procurement team.

**The Accountabilities**:

- Work and negotiate with suppliers to establish appropriate quotations and lead times, and ensure favourable terms for PI.
- Liaise with suppliers to resolve short deliveries and price discrepancies.
- Effectively manage relationships with key suppliers, including key sub-suppliers, and source new suppliers as required.
- Manage supplier agreements, tooling ownership contracts, NDAs, and other commercial agreements and understand the supplier’s sub-supply chain on critical requirements and components.
- Evaluate, approve, and support the procurement of all components for prototype builds to meet project delivery timing.
- Support modifications to part design, tooling, or manufacturing process until the part is approved.
- Assist Procurement Specialists with expediting lead time and delivery of products to support project delivery.
- Liaise with international and domestic freight forwarders to optimise local and overseas deliveries.
- Work with the warehouse for goods receipting and ensuring documentation is correct for deliveries.
- Raise and process purchase orders, and support internal customers with their purchase orders.
- Reconcile vendor invoices and monthly statements with the Finance team.
- Update pricing and parts data to MS Dynamics 365.
- General office administration and administrative support to the Procurement team.

**The Typical Experiences**:

- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.
- Experience purchasing from local and overseas suppliers.
- High-level understanding of financial systems concepts, principles, and processes.
- Strong questioning techniques and the ability to ask for additional information as needed.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to establish professional relationships.
- Familiarity and compliance with international quality standards e.g. ISO9001, ISO13485, and FDA QSR regulations.
- Adherence to OH&S requirements: Safe use of potentially hazardous equipment, liquids etc.
- Previous experience with a procurement system ideally MS Dynamics 365, SAP.
- Experience in low to medium volume, short lead time procurement.
