**Your role**
The best lawyers need the best business partners. At Allens, our business teams are also specialists in their field, using their unique knowledge and expertise to solve critical client and business challenges.
You'll be a part of our finance team based in one of our Australian offices. Our Finance team drives planning and performance tracking - including financial and statutory reporting, management reporting, expense control, capital management, tax, payroll, accounts payable, risk management and external audit.
As a Financial Planning Analyst in you will:
- Provide financial expertise and business analysis including communication of financial results
- Assist with budget and forecast submissions for Corporate Services Departments to enable the firm to achieve its strategic goals
- Educate stakeholders on system use and planning processes and identifying discrepancies and anomalies across all Departments and Practice Groups
- Support the delivery of best practice reporting and analysis including performance trends, benchmarking and analysis of the firm's financial performance
- Influence others by communicating with confidence and impact, and consulting with stakeholders to gain buy-in and commitment
- Assist the Planning Manager and others in the Finance team to prepare Board and Executive Committee reports
- Working towards establishing yourself as a key advisor to leaders in the firm and key stakeholders in the Finance team
- Actively promoting change and innovation within the Firm, drawing upon a range of sources for potential solutions

**About you**
You will have:
- Working knowledge of key business drivers and previous experience with budget and forecast process
- Experience with computer based general ledger and associated reporting and database systems
- Experience working with, and presenting on, large sets of data
- Strong Excel skills, intermediate to expert level
- A CA or CPA qualification preferred
- Experience with Calumo or similar cube-based BI tools is beneficial but not essential
- Experience working in a professional services environment is beneficial but not essential
- A desire to learn, grow, network, mentor others
