**What you’ll be doing**:
- Manage appropriate systems to ensure effective and efficient day-to-day administration including general correspondence, purchasing, document management, collation of data and reports.
- Administer the Centre’s booking system, including point of contact enquiries, maintenance of and adherence to the booking system and administration of accounting processes.
- Create, monitor and/or maintain purchase orders, various databases and registers.
- Other duties as directed by the Community Centre Leader.
- Ensure effective and efficient day-to-day operation of the Community Centre as per the Centre Operations Manual.
- Ensure the centre is maintained and well presented to a high standard and any maintenance and cleaning issues are dealt with promptly through liaison with the Council’s Facilities Management Team.
- Manage customer service requests, complaints, general enquiries and transactions (where appropriate).
- Assist the community by providing accurate information and advice about Council services in a polite, friendly and professional manner.
- Assist with the setting and packing up of the hire spaces in accordance with the needs of user groups.
- Open and lock up the community centre daily as required including setting alarms.
- To support the Centre Leader with planning and facilitation of programming and events as required
**The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role**:
- A nationally recognised Certificate in a related discipline (Administration or Customer Service) or relevant experience.
- The ability to work across our municipality
- Knowledge and/or proficiency in the use of facility booking software and administration systems within a community setting.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) with the ability to prepare external correspondence.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities and organise work within these priorities.
