**About the role**

As a Recreational Activities Officer (Care Service Employee), you will drive the engagement and participation of residents into a range of social, recreational and cultural activities, as well as mental health and wellbeing programs that empower our resident’s choices and independence. In running recreational activity programs, you will ensure individual residents’ needs, values, spiritual and cultural preferences are taken into account.

There are two permanent part time vacancies:

- 55 Hours: Monday to Friday 10am-3.30pm
- 30 Hours: Tuesday & Wednesday 10am-6pm (Dementia Care Community)

**Duties may include**:

- Assistance with a wide range of person-centered care in accordance with care plans
- Running lifestyle activities
- Working with each resident to continue to do the things they love
- Participating in outings & bus trips

**Skills & experience**
- You have completed Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle (or willing to complete) OR
- Hold a Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing)
- Experience working with people living with dementia (highly desirable)
- You hold a current NSW/ACT Drivers License
- Senior First Aid Certificate is essential
- You have previous experience in caring for the elderly within an Aged or Community Care setting
- You have highly developed organisation and time management skills
- You have an understanding of Resident Rights, aged care accreditation standards and outcomes
