**About the Role...**

The Sport & Recreation Planning Officer will assist the Sport and Recreation Planner with scoping and development of infrastructure plans in relation to sport and recreation projects across the City of Playford. This role will provide project management support and lead infrastructure projects whilst proactively partnering with internal and external stakeholders to ensure community and corporate needs are met.

**What you’ll be doing...**
- Lead and contribute to the development of infrastructure concept plans in collaboration with a range of stakeholders
- Provide project management for sport and recreation infrastructure projects in accordance with Council’s Project Management Framework
- Undertake research in community and industry trends with regards to use and provisions for sport and recreation facilities
- Provide support in maintaining strategic partnerships with external stakeholders
- Develop clear and effective reports and presentations for Executive, Council and Committee’s.

**About You...**
You will have practical experience in the planning, coordination and delivery of Sport & Recreation infrastructure projects and hold a qualification in Sports & Recreation Management or equivalent. You will also have highly developed research and report writing skills with the ability to confidently craft, present and represent Council at meetings and other community groups.

Experience in Local Government and knowledge of the role Local Government plays in supporting sport and recreation outcomes is desirable.

In addition, you will bring the following skills and experience to the role:

- Strong customer service and the ability to provide advice to enquiries concerning sport and recreation.
- Excellent team player with ability to collaborate across the organisation.
- Hold a valid Class C Driving Licence.
