**About BaptistCare Dorothy Henderson Lodge (DHL)**

An inviting facility conveniently located on the Macquarie Park, Dorothy Henderson Lodge is home to a thriving community that supports our residents to live the life they want. The Lodge provides 66 single rooms for residents, and 14 secure rooms for those who need higher level of dementia support

**About the role**

As the Lifestyle Officer, you will drive the engagement and participation of residents into a range of social, recreational and cultural activities, as well as mental health and wellbeing programs that empower our resident’s choices and independence. In planning and organising all recreational activity programs, you will ensure individual residents’ needs, values, spiritual and cultural preferences are taken into account.

Duties may include:

- Work closely with the Lifestyle Coordinator in reporting, planning and presenting recreational activities
- facilitate activities, leading group activities, care plans for clients as well as therapy assistance to improve their quality of everyday life
- Working with each resident to continue to do the things they love

**Skills and Experience**:

- Experience working in similar role within aged care sector
- Certificate III in Aged Care or currently studying Certificate IV in Leisure and Health
- A born listener, you’re genuinely caring to know and understand people
- Have the ability to support and facilitate clients to maintain and relearn skills related to all forms of recreational activity
- Have a great team player with excellent communication skills
