An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Sport and Recreation team for a passionate and results driven Recreation Officer. Working with our Recreation Planner you will have the opportunity to drive innovation and see tangible results through planning, management of sport and recreation projects and policy development that ensures the provision of a wide range of open space and recreation opportunities in the Camden LGA.

Essential:

- Tertiary qualifications in recreation planning, leisure studies, recreation management or equivalent related field
- Ability to plan, manage and prioritise multiple tasks while meeting operational deadlines;
- Ability to work independently as well as a member of a work team
- Self-starter with achievement and outcomes orientation
- Good oral and written communication skills with the ability to instil confidence and develop good rapport
Desirable:

- Project and resource management skills and experience
- Experience in a local government environment
- Knowledge and understanding of legislative and regulatory framework
- Appropriate research, reporting and computer skills
