Are you passionate about environmental sustainability? Thinking about starting a career within administration?

Maxima, in partnership Newmont Australia, are seeking an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander to undertake a fulltime, business traineeship as a Sustainability and Relations Administrator.

This role is more than meets the eye. Each day will bring new tasks and challenges to develop your knowledge to succeed in any administrative position upon completion. Along the way you will undertake a range of duties relating to sustainability programs, anything from preparing reports, to making sure all safety standards are being met.

Newmont Australia is the world’s leading gold company and a producer of copper, silver, zinc, and lead. For over 100 years Newmont have been dedicated towards creating value and improving the lives of others through sustainable and responsible mining. Newmont’s success has been carried out across many sites within Australia including those in the Northern Territory and Western Australia, where this traineeship will be based out of their Subiaco office.

Throughout this traineeship you will receive paid practical, industry experience and allocated study time within your working week to achieve a nationally recognised **Certificate III in Business **within the **Administration Stream.**

**Duties Include**:

- Prepare reports and presentations
- Support teams to create and distribute communications
- Assist to develop and implement initiatives and programs
- Review business performance in accordance with various requirements
- Additional administrative duties as required

**About You**:

- Showcases initiative and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrates high attention to detail
- Works effectively as part of a team and under limited supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Has effective organisational and time management

**Role Requirements**:

- Current manual driver’s licence (c-class or provisional)
- Ability to work across sites (if required)
- Previous customer service experience
