**What You Will Be Doing**
Peninsula Health recognise that community participants as volunteers make a significant and valuable contribution to our Health Service whilst respecting the dignity, privacy and confidentiality of all individuals.
The Volunteer Coordinator will actively support managers and staff to enable them to take an innovative approach to volunteer participation that adds value to the services community health provide. The Volunteer Coordinator will provide advice, assistance and professional support to incorporate evidence and contemporary good practice in the planning, review and evaluation of services and systems with volunteer involvement. The position of Volunteer coordinator will facilitate the daily operations including; service development, reporting, recruitment, training, support and supervision of volunteers working within Community Health services and programs.
- Lead and maintain a positive culture for volunteers and users of volunteer service in Peninsula Health Community Health (PHCH).
- Manage the human resource aspect of delivering a volunteer service including, recruitment, selection, orientation, training and placement of volunteers in Community Health services.
- Support, recognise and reward volunteers as appropriate.
- Oversight of the administration of the service including ensuring reporting deadlines for narrative and statistics are met.

**Additional Requirements**
This role must be fully vaccinated for Covid-19 and meet the requirements of the Peninsula Health immunisation policy.

Essential: Experience in coordinating and/ or managing volunteer programs and services
Essential: High level communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels including working with consumers, colleagues and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Essential: Demonstrated ability to coordinate a range of activities, set priorities and work independently to achieve agreed performance objectives
Essential: Demonstrated ability to source and utilise evidence and contemporary practice in the design and delivery of volunteer programs and services
Essential: Current Victorian Drivers License
Desirable: Awareness of Government policies & Service Standards relevant to Volunteer Services and programs.
Desirable: Ability to be innovative and work effectively in a rapidly-changing dynamic environment
