**About the role**
We are seeking an experienced and versatile human resource leader to step into a five-month temporary role backfilling an employee on leave. This critical role will support ongoing Enterprise Agreement negotiations and lead strategic and operational People and Culture initiatives across the organisation.
You will lead a team of four People and Culture Business Partners who provide strategic and operational support across employee and industrial relations, human resource management, and employee experience. The team partners closely with department managers to deliver high-impact people solutions.
Over the next five months, the key priorities will include:
- Supporting the Chief People Officer with Council’s single Enterprise Agreement negotiations and implementation.
- Overseeing and supporting the People and Culture Business Partners in navigating complex workplace investigations and staffing matters.
- Assist in ensuring Council is compliant with legislation.
- Leading efforts in workforce planning strategies across the organisation.
- Ensure employee relations matters are managed with fairness and compliance.
**About You**
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Extensive experience negotiating and implementing Enterprise Agreements.
- Proven leadership in senior HR roles within diverse and complex organisations.
- Deep knowledge of HR management and industrial relations frameworks.
- Experience in complex case management and experience in developing a workforce plan
- A calm, pragmatic approach with the ability to operate strategically and tactically.
- Immediate availability and commitment to the full five-month term.
