**The Opportunity**:
As an Associate Director you will help drive the growth of Urbis' Engagement and Stakeholder Strategy offering. Drawing on your skills and achievements, you will bring considerable leadership, credibility, and professionalism to the role, build and maintain new and existing relationships with clients, and lead our enthusiastic team.
Here you can build a genuine thought leader profile and make a tangible difference within communities, while gaining incredible industry experience and broad ranging exposure to clients and multi-disciplinary teams.
**You will**:
- Providing specialist advice to our clients on strategic engagement, stakeholder management and community consultation, to support strategic and statutory planning, development and urban policy.
- Designing and delivering tailored engagement strategies to build understanding, create local ownership and to inform sustainable decision making.
- Drafting persuasive and engaging communications materials.
- Delivering high quality professional services to clients.
- Supporting the Director of Engagement in the management of the offer, including contributing to the delivery of the business and growth strategy.
- Working collaboratively with Directors and staff in the Urban Planning team and other business areas.
- Proactively identifying opportunities to engage and work collaboratively with colleagues from other disciplines and Business Units across the Sydney office and the broader firm on cross-disciplinary projects
**About You**:
Ideally, you will have strong knowledge of the NSW planning system, great commercial acumen, a strong network, and be looking to take the next step in your career.
- Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Policy, Business, or a related discipline
- Relevant experience, ideally gained in a consultancy environment
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and produce high-quality results
- Proven ability to manage and develop team members
- Demonstrated advanced written and verbal communication skills including producing well written and insightful reports as well as confidence in presenting to internal and external clients.
- Experience in providing constructive and timely feedback to the team to try out new ideas and opportunities in support of their development.
- Experience in producing well considered and articulated recommendations that are commercial in nature and practically grounded to address the needs of clients.
