We have an exciting opportunity for a Therapy Assistant to join our friendly and driven multidisciplinary team. Aask Therapy is an innovative and busy mobile therapy practice based in Melbourne.

The Therapy Assistant will be an integral part of the Aask Therapy team. The role involves:

- Implementing fun and effective speech therapy sessions under the supervision of Speech Pathologist
- Support the team in administering formal and informal communication
- Supporting the children to use their communication devices (AAC) in everyday situations (play, mealtimes, transitions etc)
- Implement evidence-based literacy programs under the supervision of the Speech Pathologist
- Working in the community.
- Prepare and create therapy resources.

We are looking for the following from our Therapy Assistant (Speech Pathology):
Certificate 4 Allied Health Assistant - Speech Pathology or willingness to enroll and complete the certification in the next 12 months (at own expense)
A Speech therapy student in their 4th year or in second year of Masters are welcome to apply.
Current Practicing Member of Speech Pathology Australia
A minimum of 1 years’ experience working with children/disability or other health related experience.
Overseas graduates welcome to apply.
Experience in working with children with additional needs
Experience/ strong interest in AAC, feeding, Developmental Disabilities and/or literacy
An understanding of Positive Behavior Support.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

**Salary**: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour plus travel allowance will be paid
