- **Supply Chain Liaison**
***who will be responsible for understanding the customer's key material supply processes related to vehicle maintenance. You will recognise the areas of weakness across materials management with customers and identify opportunities for improvement and be the prime interface with all parties to improve fleet availability.**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**
- Continuously review and monitor the process for Rotables management to ensure components are correctly identified and moved from customer depots expeditiously to maximise availability and reduce costs
- Ensure defective material claims are processed to eliminate delays and actively pursue prompt resolutions to disputes or problems wherever these appear
- Work closely with the customer to ensure robust procedures exist for the control and minimisation of “Missing and Damage", "Robbed" Components and other practices that reflect weaknesses in processes affecting product availability
- Evaluate and audit the use of consignment stocks to determine if stock management, replenishment cycles and service levels are adequate
- Establish the customer's need for critical spares and work closely to establish the rationale for such items setting parameters for stock holding and service levels. Continually review performance and instigate changes to maximise performance and customer satisfaction
- Analyse the material problems associated with stopped vehicles, establish fast resolutions and preventative measures, and develop improved communication channels.
- Review and reconcile the Customer/ Unipart Rail order book
- Propose creation and/or modification of HSSE documents within the management system and report to Corporate HSSE personnel
- Ensure compliance with all record-keeping requirements
**About you**
- Tertiary education or equivalent technical qualification
- Knowledge and practical experience with process management
- At least five years of experience with materials and product management
- Good knowledge of stock control, inventory, and warranty systems and processes
- Strong statistical reporting and analysis skills
- A high level of energy and willingness to challenge the status quo
- Strong communication skills including negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels, both internally and externally
- Demonstrated ability to work independently to organize and prioritize demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow through within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands
- Proficiency with planning and supply chain software is preferred
- Planning Software in SAP would be helpful
