
Maintenance Planner/scheduler

This client, a leading business in the rail industry, requires an experienced Maintenance Planner/ Scheduler to assist them on a casual basis for a period of 3-6 months. The primary purpose of the role is to ensure that all maintenance planning and scheduling elements as defined within the Works Management Standard and Procedure are adhered to, to ensure quality, deliverable, resourced plans can be executed on time and within budget.
This client, a leading business in the rail industry, requires an experienced Maintenance Planner/ Scheduler to assist them on a casual basis for a period of 3-6 months.
The primary purpose of the role is to ensure that all maintenance planning and scheduling elements as defined within the Works Management Standard and Procedure are adhered to, to ensure quality, deliverable, resourced plans can be executed on time and within budget.
Duties will include:
- Develop work plans, ensuring that scope, materials, labour, plant, costs and specialist requirements are accurately captured within the work orders through stakeholder engagement
- Arrange necessary track access or permits where required to complete approved maintenance work scopes or inspection activities
- Facilitate regular Plan, Do, Review (PDR) meetings with Network Maintenance teams and key stakeholders.
- Schedule work orders for new assets based on Technical Maintenance Plan (TMP) and Engineering standards.
- Conduct regional resource forecasting
- Develop and maintain accurate suite of reports for weekly and monthly KPI reporting and forecasts
- Undertake regular (weekly/monthly) review of completed WO to ensure capture of accurate actual, costs, materials, labour used to undertake activity.
To secure this role, you will come from a trade or technical background and display your experience with maintenance planning at a detailed level (minimum 3 years). You will have experience using the CMMS system.
You will have strong analytical and problem solving skills and excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders. Applied knowledge of operational railway environment is desirable.
