
Payroll Supervisor

**About the role**
As our payroll team grows, we are searching for an experienced payroll supervisor who will not only support a collaborative and small team but will also be providing accurate client advisory services on payroll related matters.
Based in the Gasworks precinct and reporting to the Employee Relations Lead, this exciting new role will be responsible for the following:
- Liaise with NHVR’s outsourced payroll provider to identify, report on, track and resolve system defects
- Develop and improve payroll work procedures to ensure continuous improvement
- Support and be the payroll SME for a payroll build for a new Enterprise Agreement
- Act as the escalation point for the payroll team
- Support UAT testing for the new payroll build and maintain test documentation
- Monitoring all aspects of payroll including legislations, standards, codes and guidelines to ensure on-going regulatory compliance.
You will also be responsible for the training, coaching, mentoring and supporting of team members to ensure the effective delivery of payroll. When required, you will also provide backup payroll processing during leave periods.

**About You**
- Demonstrated ability and experience in preparation, entry and processing of payroll data
- Current knowledge of ATO and superannuation fund guidelines
- Knowledge of financial reporting/payroll packages and MS Office suite, in particular Microsoft Excel
You will demonstrate proven ability to quickly learn new information, processes, and procedures as well as exceptional problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail and accuracy. You will also have high level organisational skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities and conflicting deadlines.
Experience in relationship management with an external payroll provider is desirable but not essential. Your initiative, versatility and flexibility will see you thrive in this role.
