**ABOUT THE POSITION**:
Kal Tire has an exciting opportunity available for a Payroll Officer to join our Australian Operations team. In this fast-paced role you will support the Payroll Supervisor with the timely and accurate payment of all Kal Tire Australia regional team members in accordance with the relevant employment contracts, enterprise agreements and the National Employment Standards (NES) guidelines.
- Assisting with the end-to-end fortnightly payroll processing for over 150 employees across Australia
- Ensuring pay records are accurate and representative of entitlements and conditions
- Ensures correct cost allocation of roster hours worked.
- Completes End of Month reporting, including Payroll Tax and Coal Long Service Leave
- Maintaining and updating all employee records accurately in the payroll system
- Assisting with the integration of a new HRIS system and integration of payroll systems
- Booking travel and accommodation for team members as required
**ABOUT YOU**:
- A minimum of 3+ years’ experience in end-to-end payroll processing of 150+ size payroll
- Understanding of payroll tax, compliance, and practices
- High attention to detail
- Ability to interpret and implement employment contracts, awards and enterprise agreements
- Detailed understanding of the National Employment Standards (NES)
- Intermediate working knowledge of Excel and strong computer literacy skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test
