A vacancy currently exists in our Office of Executive Director (OED) and Renewables team for a Client Service Officer at our 1 William Street office (1WS). This role is fulltime fixed term role - ASAP start until 25 April 2025, with the possibility of extension.

OIR contributes to the government's strategic objectives in the areas of workplace health and safety, electrical safety, workers' compensation, industrial relations and labour hire regulation.
We seek to improve work health and safety, electrical safety and workers' compensation performance through regulatory and policy frameworks and the provision of evidenced-based services and advice. We also develop, implement and maintain policy and legislation relevant to industrial relations in Queensland including whole of Government responsibility for public sector enterprise bargaining and the regulation of Queensland's labour hire industry.
As a Client Service Officer within the Electrical Safety Office, you will be part of an efficient flexible and responsive team that strives for to keep all Queenslanders safe around electricity.
**Some of your responsibilities will include**:

- Provide high quality administrative support to the Office of the Executive Director/Board Services and Renewables teams based at 1 William Street, Brisbane City.
- Research and analyse information/data to provide advice that contributes to the organisational team goals.
- Actively participation in monitoring, co-ordinating and maintaining procedures and systems to ensure effective governance practices are maintained.
- Effectively engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and other government agencies to progress ESO projects and programs.
- Be an effective team member promoting a positive culture supporting equity, anti-discrimination, OHS, ethical behaviour and act in accordance with the QPS legislative framework and Code of Conduct.
- Undertake other tasks as directed.

**To be successful in this role you will need**:

- Demonstrated ability in the use of computer systems, software packages and web-based technologies including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database systems.
- Demonstrated written communication skills to be able to assist in the preparation of correspondence.
- Demonstrated well developed communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of external and internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrated organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise, schedule and perform work to meet deadlines, commitments and service level agreements using initiative with mínimal supervision;
- Show proven ability to work as part of a team and to function effectively.

This role will challenge and develop your ability to engage with stakeholders, partner and educate the community in electrical safety matters and ensure compliance within a regulatory framework
