**How you’ll make an impact**
The purpose of this role is to expand the distribution of AMP’s wealth management products through the IFA market. The Key Account Manager is responsible for building deep and profitable Head Office (HO) relationships with large licensees, by developing a deep understanding of the licensee’s value drivers and growth strategy and working with the broader Distribution team to deliver on cash flow and account growth targets.
The Key Account Manager is also responsible for
- Articulating a clear key licensee strategy for penetration into the IFA market
- Assessing and validating the licensees needs on an ongoing basis, to ensure potential business opportunities are realised
- Articulating a clear licensee strategy for penetration into the IFA market
- Developing and maintaining Account Plans and Relationship Maps for all key accounts
- Managing account planning, sourcing, and interpreting data to ensure clear segmentation and identification of opportunities, reporting and delivery requirements across their panel of licensees
- Contribute to high Net Promoter Score
- Act as a point of escalation when required
Key focus areas for the role include:
Develops Account Plans
Account Plans are the basis from which the Key Account Manager will build knowledge within the Distribution team and broader business of key account opportunities.
- Understands (and regularly revisits) the licensee’s business priorities to identify opportunities
- Maintains relationship map of key personnel
- Maintains knowledge and awareness of competing products/services
- Ensures value for both the client and the business where sponsorship arrangements exist
- Identifies opportunities and prioritises sponsorship opportunities within budget
- Builds a deep understanding of value drivers and overall strengths and weaknesses to determine how best to service and grow key accounts
Sales Campaigns
- Maintains a well-maintained sales pipeline and participates in regular sales reviews in conjunction with the Distribution team and Marketing where relevant
- Maintains data and information relevant to key accounts for the purpose of conducting analysis that influence profitable sales campaigns
Strategy
The Key Account Manager also plays a major strategic role by working with Head Of to understand the key account’s growth strategies and how they align and compliment AMPs.
In conjunction with the Distribution team, the Key Account Manager also facilitates the strategic account planning process in which financial targets, performance objectives, and critical milestones over specific periods of time are decided upon.
Expand distribution footprint for AMP wealth management products through IFA licensee agreements
- Develop and implement key account Sales strategy
- Liaise with IFA Licensees to develop new relationships and ensure business relationships are maintained
- Coordinate expert responses to queries regarding product information, performance, or investment information
- Participate in the development of internal processes with other AMP departments to ensure needs can be met
- Initiate and assist with implementation and monitoring of Account Plans
- Presentations when required
- APL Tender - Preparation and Presentations
- Co-ordinate the exposure of AMP at Conferences, Seminars, and Professional Development days
- Ensure all sales staff have required information of IFA Licensees
- Liaise with Licensees for management of campaigns
- Develop, manage, and implement various segmentation models across licensee groups and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure that 90 Day plans are implemented.
- Develop and maintain relationships with client Head Office and research staff
- Coordinate sign-off off legal agreements between AMP and external clients
- Provide regular feedback to management and functional units to ensure that they are kept fully informed regarding the market assessment of AMP’s products and performance
- Proactively manage risk and compliance issues
- Manage the proper recording and accounting of the expense & sponsorship budgets
