Seeking an experienced Occupational Safety and Health Advisor is required for a State Government department

**Your new company**
A major State Government health department based central to Perth CBD, are seeking an experienced Occupation Safety and Health Advisor to join a busy division of the organisation. You will be required to work full-time hours, on an initial temporary engagement, with view of extension for the right person.

**Your new role**
As the OSH Advisor you will be responsible for promoting Safety and Health working alongside employees and contractors, providing support and advice, conducting audits and investigation, and assisting within safety and health matters. Your duties will include:

- Investigate OSH incidents, hazards and risks, implementing strategies to reduce risks of injury and disease
- Undertake risk assessments, audits and safety inspections to ensure compliant with legislation
- Assist in research of OSH policies and procedures
- Maintain the division's safety documentations, updating as required
- Coordinate and undertake individual ergonomic assessments
- Undertake project coordination, including the development and implementation of OSH programs
- Work collaboratively within the team to support the implementation of OSH systems and processes

**What you'll need to succeed**
In order to be considered for this role you will have previous experience within a similar role, in addition to displaying:

- Experience working within OSH in a rail or operation environment
- Possession of, or working towards, a relevant tertiary qualification
- Strong IT systems experience
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail with competence in writing concise and structured reports

**What you'll get in return**
You will be engaged on an initial temporary period for 6-months, with possibility for extension. You will be required to work full-time hours, working in an office location central to Perth CBD.
