A fantastic opportunity present for a motivated **Category Specialist** to join our Electrical Category team based in our Macquarie Park location, with Hybrid work option, to provide an exceptional level of service to all customers. Supporting the Product Manager and National Category Manager, the Category Specialist is responsible for developing, coordinating and implementing strategic activities to deliver the right selection of products at the right price; based on an understanding of the various customer segments and target markets, to achieve revenue and profitability targets.

***You will be Responsible for**:

- Collaborate with suppliers to improve customer engagement and commercial outcomes
- Provide support to the National Category Manager and or Product Manager and business to improve category performance
- Provide support for product launches, range planning, development, and Go-to-Market execution
- Manage category marketing activities, social media and improve customer experience in e-commerce environment
- Actively support product initiatives in relation to development, sourcing and price position
- Provide analytical support to assist in the key decision-making process
- Manage the maintenance of the product data content to ensure accuracy and relevant product information

**Important to Your Success**:

- Previous experience in commercial, category or merchandising
- Ability to be a strong cross functional collaborator and lead with a ‘customer first’ approach
- A confident negotiator with the ability to analyse and solve complex problems
- Ability to makes sense of complex, high quantity and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems
- Outstanding project and time management skills and experience in a B2B environment will be highly regarded
- Tertiary qualifications in marketing, business and/or sales will be highly regarded
