**About the Role**
**Full time - Ongoing**
Walking and cycling are central to a sustainable, safe transport system and there is a significant investment metropolitan wide to develop and deliver programs and projects.
This role will lead, manage, motivate and develop a team. This includes encouraging principle based decision making where limited guidance is available, and reflecting and learning from experience.
We’re looking for energetic and motivated people who enjoy working in a productive and fast-paced team environment, and will work across Transport Services, with councils and state government agencies to deliver and ensure walking and cycling investments are coordinated and have maximum effect.

**Position Outcomes**
- Effectively lead, manage, motivate and develop a team to align with DTP culture to encourage our team members to be their best and deliver outcomes for the community. This includes encouraging principle based decision making where limited guidance is available and reflecting and learning from experience.
- Drive change management and think beyond boundaries and to communicate honestly and transparently to adapt to department policy and realignments by focusing on solutions and renewal.
- Collaborate with road safety partners and across DTP to enhance Safe System approaches and outcomes that address understood and emerging road safety issues and meet the required standards, with a particular emphasis on active transport.
- (Standard line) - In line with Section 31A of the Public Administration Act 2004 (Vic) other duties may be assigned consistent with employment classification, skills, and capabilities
