Our client is an independent publishing and media business working with authors and clients to create high-quality books, magazines, websites and content across platforms. They provide information and resources to help discover and share Australian wine - whether training a team, preparing for an event or to sell more.
**ABOUT THE ROLE**
The Wine and Media Company is offering an exciting opportunity for an Account Manager to join our client’s commercial team - working on selling the wine company’s portfolio across digital, print, social and consumer experiences. You will report to the Commercial Director and be responsible for building and managing relationships with new and existing clients.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Advertising revenue generation**
- Maintain and develop strong relationships with advertisers, potential advertisers and agencies.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of the client’s marketing strategy
- Sell advertising solutions across all company properties.
- Development and implementation of a cross-platform marketing strategy
- Create ad proposals and media kits for external stakeholders. Contribute creatively to business ideas across all media platforms.
- New business ideas and opportunities are constantly presented.
**End to end project management of commercial integration**
- Implement ad bookings including ensuring booking forms are signed and information correctly captured in various systems.
- Work with the team coordinator to help the client create the ad and ensure that the promotional materials are delivered to the developer/coordinator in the correct format and time.
- Work closely with editors, designers and team coordinators to ensure proper ad placement and rendering.
- Prepare post-mortems as needed.
**Contribute to the overall success of the commercial team and wider business**
- Build strong relationships with commercial and wider enterprise teams.
- Prepare and present reports/presentations to peers and colleagues. Participate in work events and assist with marketing and content as needed.
- Stay up to date with events in the wine industry as they affect advertisers and potential advertisers. Follow the advertising market: new products, rebranding, advertising campaigns.
- Identify opportunities for growth across all ad categories. Define new categories and features to create new revenue channels.
- Work with the Commercial Director to monitor and analyse advertising trends relevant to your role, including spend by client, category and more.
- Maintain advertisers and potential advertisers and update contact information through appropriate systems.
**Reporting and finance**
- Ensure weekly sales data is reported/available.
- Work closely with the Finance and Team Coordinator, including reviewing billing information on a case-by-case basis, monitoring accounts receivable reports, and helping to compile promotions.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Has experience in media sales
- Experience in cross-platform sales and understanding of digital media
- Creative - Experienced and successful with creative sales solutions including content opportunities
- Be an excellent communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Energetic and motivated to succeed
- Be a team player and work together to achieve goals
- Success can be demonstrated by ideally selecting high-frequency headlines
- Passionate about the **wine industry** and want to **gain new knowledge about wine
