The ACE Training Centre Toll is a Leonardo Authorised Training Centre with a Level D AW139 Full Flight Simulator and world class HUET facility.

**Job Description**:
We are currently looking to appoint a** **Quality and Safety Specialist for our Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS) and Aeromedical Crewing Excellence (ACE) Training Centre in Bankstown, NSW. Our ACE training centre is home to a full flight AW 139 flight simulator, a Helicopter underwater escape training simulator, a non-motion cabin flight simulator, and human factors and non tech training programs designed to provide tailor made support to HEMS operations.

This role will provide quality and safety support across our Bankstown location and will be responsible for participating in the oversight of operational and engineering quality, safety and environmental imperatives associated with the State Government HEMS Contract. You will support the assurance of local level implementation of the organisations Safety, Quality and Environmental Management System, and assisting with the implementation of innovation and continuous improvement in support of the execution of the Quality and Safety functional Strategy.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Support the development and maintenance of all required quality, safety and environmental processes and procedures for the organisations HEMS Contracts and support services.
- Participate in the oversight of the process lifecycle for all HEMS Contracts related quality, safety and environmental hazards and occurrences.
- Support oversight of the timely and effective local treatment of quality, safety and environmental risks arising from HEMS Contracts operations and engineering support services activities.
- Support oversight of the timely and effective corrective action response to process deficiency and non-performance identified within HEMS Contracts operations and engineering activities.
- Prepare presentation packages for local HEMS Contracts Safety Action Group Meetings and monthly Safety, Quality and Environment Oversight Committee Meetings
- Perform investigations, root cause and defect analysis, audit activities, recommend appropriate risk treatment and/or corrective-action response plans and verify implementation and effectiveness.
- Assist in the maintenance and continuous improvement of the organisations Safety, Quality and Environment Management System.

**Qualifications**:
**To be successful in this role, you will need**:

- Minimum 5+ years previous experience providing quality and safety management support, with 3+ years in a dynamic Flight Operation and/or Aircraft Maintenance environment
- Extensive ISO9001 Quality Management, and CASA Part 119/Part 145 Safety Management System knowledge and experience
- Extensive Work Health and Safety legislative knowledge and experience
- Proven experience in a similar role and/or operating environment
- Proven experience leading investigations, root cause and defect analysis activities
- Proven experience Leading Audits and coordinating external Audit activities
- Familiarity with the Transport Safety Investigation (TSI) Act and experience with Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) Reporting requirements
- Experience developing and facilitating Quality and Safety Training
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
