**About this Position**:
We are excited to offer multiple opportunities for Project Officers to become part of our Roads department's Planning and Engineering team. The Project Officer is a key member of the Roads and Quarry section within the Council’s Chief Operating Office. The primary function of the Project Officer is to perform support activities to contribute to the management, development and delivery of a range of projects and programs in line with established objectives. This role is critical in building and maintaining the infrastructure that connects communities.

**What we trust you to deliver**:
- Plan and schedule project activities, ensuring timelines and objectives align with departmental goals
- Engage with stakeholders to build strong relationships, facilitate effective communication, and drive positive project outcomes
- Monitor financial performance and provide input on cost-effective solutions
- Maintain accurate data and reporting on project progress, risks, and outcomes to inform decision-making
- Oversee contractor performance, ensuring compliance with safety standards, project specifications, and timelines
- Undertake procurement activities to support project and maintenance delivery

**What you will need to be successful**:
- Certificate IV in Project Management, Civil Construction, or Frontline Management or related field and/or equivalent relevant experience
- Essential licences and tickets
- Proven experience in project coordination, including planning, scheduling, and stakeholder engagement in a construction or civil environment
- Sound financial awareness, including tracking expenditures and adhering to grant funding requirements

**Salary**: From $79,287 + superannuation

**Conditions of Employment**: Conditions of employment are in the Local Government (State) Award and relevant Council policy, procedures and agreements.
