**Job Description**:
The Head of Global Finance Operations is the single point of service and financial process ownership for the Global Finance Operations - Toll Group. This role will provide strategic and intellectual leadership within Finance & Commercial to build and grow the operational capability and efficiency for the five workstreams of: 1) Record to Report, 2) Order to Cash, 3) Purchase to Pay, 4) Global Process and 5) Commercial and Contracts, across all Divisions and functions of Toll globally.
The Head of Global Finance Operations has accountability for Toll’s shared service performance and managing the outsourcing and management of a Finance team based in the CoE. The role will work closely with the Toll business units and regions, the Centre of Excellence (Penang) and the corporate teams in the respective processes to understand the overall business requirements, ensuring the best business processes are provided for Toll globally. This role will drive accurate and timely results, operational efficiency and excellence, and deployment of continuous improvement tools to deliver process efficiency and improved financial controls for Toll.
There is a team of 170-250 that report into this role via 7 direct reports.
The position can be based in Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney or Singapore.
**Qualifications**:
With a Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting/Finance and ideally a CPA, you will also have the following skills and experiences:
**Technical**
- Proven track record of managing a shared service in a large organisation that also involves offshore operations
- Strong understanding of end-to-end record to report processes and principles
- Strong understanding of end-to-end OTC processes and principles
- Strong understanding of end-to-end STP processes and principles
- Strong Understanding of end-to-end Commercial and Contracts processes and principles
- Experience in managing performance through standard performance measures (KPIs, SLAs)
- Ability to drive process standardisation and simplification, by making optimal use of system controls and available technical solutions.
**Business**
- People and process management experience in a shared services environment
- Familiarity with large scale business transformation programme, and the ability to drive deliverables to an outcome
- Transport and Logistics industry experience (desirable).
**Human Relations**
- Ability to set direction and capture opportunities to generate sustainable value by being open to new perspectives, challenges and opportunities.
- Adapt the business to changing contexts while understanding the risk profile of change to ensure this is mínimal and understood to motivate innovation”
