**About the Opportunity**
Our Group Quality Assurance Manager’s purpose is to ensure our customers have the best possible experience with our products, regardless of how they interact with our Endeavour Group of businesses. The role & its small team works end to end with our external product suppliers, own brand quality assurance team (Pinnacle Drinks), industry groups, merchandise team, logistics, operations and customer hub teams to resolve & improve product quality outcomes.
The role has a good mixture of strategic, technical and critical day to day operational duties. It supports a wide range of Endeavour businesses and product categories leading business aligned quality and risk program priorities.
Included in the overall team remit is the Endeavour product complaint process partnering with our Commercial, Store Operations and Supply Chain teams on major incidents and trends, with this small team the single point of contact for investigations, product withdrawals from shelf and recalls.
The role includes line management of two resources
1- Product Quality & Withdrawals / Recalls coordinator - responsible for initiating investigations on complaints & executing any withdrawals / recalls from our network.
2 - Quality Specialist - General Merchandise / GNFR (Goods not for retail sale). - responsible for supporting quality assurance general merchandise items, goods not for retail sale items & their factories to meet our internal & external standards, compliance & testing responsibilities.
**A day in the life of a Group Quality Assurance Manager at Endeavour**
- Monitors product quality across all touch points of the value chain to customers. Sets out clearly articulated focus areas for improvement with sponsorship and good buy in from the business.
- Leads with the team product complaints investigation with suppliers, operations and logistics, recommends on right courses of action to our commercial team for resolution.
- Ownership of Endeavour withdrawal and recall processes - clear contact for suppliers for their brands and with internal stakeholders for execution..
- Reporting & engagement with stakeholders - reports on and monitors trends impacting product quality
- Partners with suppliers, associations and key internal teams on the right actions to improve performance.
- Provides general technical support to our commercial teams on compliance or regulatory issues for vendor brands.
- Contributes, refines and implements standards, policy and governance for product quality across the organisation.
- Represents Endeavour Group in various industry forums and associations as a positive contributor to supplier education.
- Partners with internal businesses and functions on initiatives that require quality assurance support including evaluation of suppliers, new offers to customers including recommendations on due diligence and testing.
**What you’ll need to succeed**
- Strong background in quality assurance management & FMCG manufacturing - 5 years +
- Experience in working with commercial & logistics teams - good knowledge of retail, packaging & supply chain.
- Can work within a matrix organisation & multiple business units autonomously with a small team
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and negotiation skills - ability to build sustainable relationships across the organisation, with industry groups and with suppliers.
- Process improvement methodology - ability to continually refine, simplify and improve our end to end practices.
- Problem solving and root cause analysis - ability to lead a facts based approach to solving product issues without emotion to get good outcomes for customers, suppliers and the business.
- Coaches and develops a small team to continually improve their capability & how they add value to the business
