The Salvation Army Doorways program provides person-centred care to community members who are in a financial crisis or suffering other forms of hardship or distress. Our practitioners are mindful of trauma-informed practices, working within a strength-based context with holistic principles to build individual capacity, resilience, and well-being.

We currently have an opportunity for a values-driven and proactive Warehouse Assistant/MR Truck Driver who will responsible for daily warehouse tasks and medium rigid truck driving picking up and delivering goods.

You will successfully
- Perform daily warehouse duties
- Process orders and dispatch orders
- Maintain stock control - Cycle counts, damage control and consolidation
- Load and unload trucks - including Quality Checks
- Pick and pack goods for dispatch
- Confirm and dispatch dockets on WMS system
- Pick, pack and deliver Christmas orders to The Salvation Army Christmas programs
- Collect boxes from donations points during The Salvation Army’s Christmas appeal
- Process of incoming material aid.
- Deliver orders to centres around Metro Melbourne

This is a permanent full-time position located in Brunswick however the successful person will be required to work between two warehouse locations in Melbourne.

You will have
- Understanding of and commitment to the mission and values of The Salvation Army
- Demonstrated experience in Emergency Relief and willingness to complete further approved training
- Past distribution centre and MR Truck driving experience essential
- Forklift licence
- A current Victorian medium rigid driver (or willingness to get one)
- Workplace First Aid Certificate (highly regarded)
- Valid VIC Employee Working with Children Check
- Ability to provide proof of Eligibility to Work in Australia
