We are currently recruiting for a HR Generalist / Hr Advisor for our client, a well-established and successful retail and wholesale business with an international footprint.

**The role**:
This is hybrid role where you will work 4 days in the office and one at home, should you wish and you will receive excellent staff discounts on merchandise.

Reporting to the Finance and Admin Manager, this role provides a range of HR services in the lifecycle of an employee including recruitment, exit, induction, onboarding, performance management, rewards and recognition, policies and procedures, learning and development, HR systems and safety management.

**Your role will include**:

- Maintain and develop the human resource functions
- provide timely advice and assistance to management on policies and procedures
- implement and review and enhance HR policies to ensure best practice
- support and guide the retail stores with people initiatives
- manage employee relations matters
- Manage onboarding including salary changes and informing payroll of new starters and changes. You will also assist payroll as a back up resource
- Maintain accurate people data in the HR system
- Manage the timely recruitment of vacancies by managing talent acquisition, working closely with managers
- oversee WHS initiatives
- implement new learning and development initiatives

**Applicant requirements**:

- previous experience in a similar role in the retail sector will be highly regarded
- you will have a proven track record as a HR Generalist, with a good understanding of all aspects of HR
- you will be a proficient user of HR Systems
- previous experience of payroll backup is advantageous
- have a can-do attitude, adaptability and ability to pivot and prioritise in response to the demands of the business
- be able to take direction as well as work without supervision
- be a confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the talent to build strong relationships
