**Your contribution**: The Executive Officer provides support to the fast-paced, high-volume environment of the Office of Circular Economy, Environment and Heritage Policy and Programs division. Working closely with the Business Manager to support the Executive Director of the Office of Circular Economy to operate the branch efficiently and effectively while delivering high quality services, programs, policy, and corporate objectives, in alignment with the priorities and policies of the Government of the day.
The Office of Circular Economy leads Queensland's Waste Management and Resource Recovery Strategy to ensure our environment is protected, Queensland becomes a zero-waste society, and the economic and job benefits of a Circular economy in Queensland are realised.

**This position requires you to**:
Demonstrate high-level problem-solving skills, including the ability to proactively analyse situations and identify and successfully implement practical and innovative strategic and operational solutions.
Demonstrate high-level communication, liaison, and negotiation skills in providing information and advice to senior management and engaging with internal stakeholders and partners, and high-level written communication skills for the preparation of complex and sensitive materials.
Experience managing teams, including workload prioritisation and allocation, operating successfully under pressure within required timeframes, providing peer review and feedback and managing performance.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated high-level knowledge and understanding of human resources, executive government processes including public sector accountabilities, Cabinet, Parliament, and other government reporting with the ability to perform this function for the branch.
