**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**:
Council's Education and Care team are looking for a passionate, motivated and skilled leader to join our team in this exciting role. The Coordinator Education and Care is responsible for the providing leadership and support to seven of Council's education and care services, ensuring high quality, child-focused programs are provided to the community.
The successful applicant will require:
- Degree in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent
- Provisional or Proficient Teacher Accreditation with NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA), with evidence of maintaining such accreditation as per NESA requirements (if applicable)
- Proven skills and demonstrated ability to lead a variety of professional teams in the early education and care sector
- Valid Working with Children Check clearance
- Child Protection course approved by the NSW Regulatory Authority (s162A Education and Care Services National Law)
- Current class C drivers licence
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills and the ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders
- Demonstrable skills and experience in fiscal management
- Ability to manage multiple complex priorities including effective time management and organisational skills
- A solid understanding of relevant trends and legislation relevant to the education and care sector
- Ability to provide support, assistance, timely and systematic advice on all aspects of operational requirements and policy direction.

**Position information**: This is a permanent, full-time position, working a 70 hour fortnight, with access to Council's 9 day fortnight Rostered Day Off (RDO) arrangement.
This role is predominantly located at Council's Merrylands office, with frequent travel required across Council worksites, and may be required to work across any of Council’s work locations.
**Salary information**: The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award.
- Grade 13 of the Cumberland Salary Structure with a salary range of $1,886.23 to $2,169.16 per week, plus 10.5% superannuation
- The commencing salary will be negotiated, taking into consideration the successful applicant's qualifications, skills and experience related to the role
