Education and Care Traineeship

Cumberland City Council operates 13 education and care services across the Cumberland Local Government Area, including long day care and OOSH (out of school hours) services.

Cumberland City Council are pleased to offer positions for Education and Care trainees to join our team and develop their career in the industry alongside our professional and skilled staff. These traineeships offer a combination of on-the-job work experience combined with the completion of a nationally recognised qualification through TAFE or a Registered Training Organisation (RTO).

The successful applicant will require:

- A commitment to learning and a genuine interest in early childhood education and care
- The ability to meet deadlines and adhere to a training plan
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be 18 years of age or over.

**Position information**: There are 3 x term contract, full-time position on offer, working a 38 hour week. The hours of work will be rostered between 6:00am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday.

**Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care - Term contract, full-time (38 hours per week) up to 18 months**
- Working 35 hours per week on the floor, Monday to Friday
- Access to a paid Study Leave Day each fortnight
- Positions available at Friend Park Children's Centre, Pemulwuy Children's Centre and Frances Fisk Children's Centre.

**Salary information**: The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award.
- Trainee Salary Scale of the Cumberland Salary Structure with a hourly rate starting from $24.59, plus 11% superannuation
