Position overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed team member to work within a collaborative, fast-paced, outcomes-driven team.
The Legislative Advisor supports the management of the VBA's functions under the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act 2002. This includes the provision of legislative advice, data compilation, reporting and analysis, file and record management, undertaking research, initiating recommendations, drafting a range of responses and reporting and coordinating projects.
Who we are looking for
- Experience in providing regulatory and legislative advice including the formulation of recommendations, action plans and responses.
- Experience in data compilation, reporting and analysis and expert use of data collation and analytical tools including Microsoft excel.
- Excellent organisational and self-management skills with the ability to use initiative, plan and prioritise work and handle multiple demands in a deadline driven environment.
- Well-developed conceptual and problem-solving skills with the ability to research, identify and analyse trends, develop systems and processes and interventions and solutions.
- Well developed verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate information in a clear and confident manner.
