- Salary: Clerk Grade 11/12 - the package includes a base salary starting at $134,411 - $155,445 plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
- The Department of Customer Service offers flexible work arrangements, the team attends the Sydney office 2-3 times a week

**About you**

We're looking for a Delivery Manager to lead the product through the next steps to become a truly integrated part of the ever-growing digital practice in NSW Government. You'll use experience and intuition to identify opportunities that meet user needs and open business opportunities for the Design System. This might involve understanding how multiple professional practices can work together or using systems thinking to connect the team's technical work with broader objectives.

You will succeed in this role if you can tick most of these boxes:

- Understand the roles and responsibilities of digital practitioners and the challenges they face in the design and delivery of products and services
- Understand how using a Design System can disrupt bad practices within digital delivery to ensure better outcomes for customers
- Have used HCD methodologies to deliver better outcomes for users
- Solid understanding of modern technology stack (Github, NPM, Webpack, HTML/CSS, Web components, React, Next.js etc)
- Experience managing website content on Drupal (or any other CMS) is a bonus
- Basic knowledge of Web Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1 AA)
- Worked as a PM for a fast-paced tech company with experience doing research with users, prioritising opportunities, and launching new features, or
- Worked as a PM within a government delivering digital products and services in an Agile way
- Strong track record of building relationships and influencing at all levels
- Experience using the NSW Design System

**About the role**

The Delivery Manager is responsible for the ongoing iteration of the Design System, enabling the product team to perform effective and insightful research with our users, and ensuring a constant roadmap of improvements to be made. You will be responsible for this backlog, ensuring updates are delivered in support of our strategic objectives, making recommendations on tactical and strategic opportunities to be prioritised.

The Delivery Manager will develop the strategic relationships between the Design System (as a product) and our customers both within the public sector, and private sector including digital leaders, influencers, digital agencies, consultancies and CMS vendors. Increasing awareness and adoption should be your priority when meeting and networking with your peers.

Measurement of our success is critical to our sustainability. You will be responsible for establishing a measurement strategy on how we can demonstrate the Design System is delivering value.

**Your main responsibilities**:

- ** **Identify and document business processes, business, and functional requirements to align user stories, and case scenarios, comparing the best processes or delivery methods, including measuring, and evaluating outcomes
- Lead setting priorities for change initiatives of high complexity, taking responsibility for investigation and implementation of changes to program scope to ensure they meet the direction of the business and optimise business performance
- Lead review of business processes and facilitation of relevant meetings/workshops, while working closely with product owners, technical experts, and product team to support project delivery
- Provide expert knowledge and advice at relevant forums, meetings, and chapters to align on business strategy and customer needs
- Ensure comprehensive documentation is produced such as business and functional requirements, business process models, user stories/ requirements and user case scenarios to industry guidelines as appropriate for the business needs
- Mentor and share knowledge with other team members to contribute to the maintenance of high-quality deliverables.

The Digital Strategy, Investment and Assurance Team (DSIA) works across whole of NSW Government to drive digital and ICT strategy, alignment, planning, prioritisation, and investment.

The team:

- Plays a pivotal role in driving digital strategy and alignment to improve customer outcomes, reduce legacy systems and drive adoption of common assets.
- Administers the $2.2 billion Digital Restart Fund transforming the way government invests in Digital and ICT and driving digital change in NSW.
