Mort & Co Transport is a local haulage provider located in Pittsworth, offering a modern transport fleet and diverse freight services to the public. As part of the Mort & Co brand, Mort & Co Transport provides bulk livestock and commodity freight services across the Mort & Co supply chain and to external customers.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

As a Transport Allocator (Livestock) with Mort & Co, you will coordinate specialist haulage services and drive for continuous improvement and operational excellence. You will be responsible for
- Coordinating logistics, bookings and accounts for the Livestock branch of Mort & Co Transport
- Providing operational support to the Manager (Livestock Logistics) in managing Livestock Logistics activities of Mort & Co Transport.
- Ensure that all operations are performed safely and efficiently, and programs are maintained to ensure safe work practices in compliance with company policy and procedure, industry regulations and legislative requirements.
- Maintain accurate records, ensuring timely accessibility and high-quality data input, and promote awareness of the importance of accurate record keeping in line with Mort & Co policy and procedure.

**ABOUT YOU**

To succeed in this position, you will have experience in the heavy transport and logistics industry ideally with an understanding of the Livestock transport requirements. You will also have:

- Current MC licence (Desirable).
- Strong organisational and planning abilities including the ability to work in and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
- Well established leadership and communication skills including the ability to work collaboratively with the management team and demonstrate a united approach to leadership.
- Sound computer literacy.
- A strong commitment to upholding safe and sustainable driving practices, including the ability to confidently raises concerns or breaches with drivers.
