About the role
This is a permanent part-time Seed Export Coordinator role based in Pittsworth, Queensland, supporting Selected Seeds Pty Ltd, a leading player in the manufacturing, selling and marketing of seeds locally and abroad. In this pivotal position, you will be responsible for coordinating the export of seeds to international customers, ensuring efficient and compliant processes from order to delivery. The role is Monday to Friday(25 Hrs/week). It would suit someone looking to work during school hours.
What you'll be doing
- Manage the full lifecycle of seed export orders, from order receipt through to customs clearance and final delivery
- Liaise with internal teams (sales, production, logistics) and external partners (freight forwarders, customs brokers) to ensure a seamless export process
- Prepare and submit all necessary documentation for customs clearance, in compliance with relevant import/export regulations
- Monitor shipments and proactively communicate with customers on order status and delivery timelines
- Identify and resolve any issues or delays in the export process, finding solutions to keep things moving
Maintain detailed records and reporting on export activities.
In addition to your export coordinator responsibilities, you will be required to assist in administrative duties.
What we're looking for
- Proven experience in a similar export coordination or customs brokerage role, ideally within the seed industry(preferred)
- Excellent understanding of import/export regulations and customs clearance processes
- Strong organisational and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- Proficient in using relevant software and IT systems to manage orders and documentation
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A customer-focused approach and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
