**Your new role awaits**

Working within our Finance division and reporting directly to the Account Receivables Admin Manager, this position presents an opportunity to assume multi-functional responsibilities, working across a variety of AR functions within our **Risk and Recoveries Team**.

You will primarily focus on managing a portfolio of bad debts, to manage debt recovery in line with agreed legislation and company processes.

**A typical day will include**
- Taking all steps to ensure the company’s cash flow is maximised and risk minimised
- Actively managing AR disputes and delinquent accounts
- Liaising with preferred debt collection agencies and ensuring they are following agreed insolvency processes
- Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and maintaining high levels of communication regarding recovery of bad debts
- Providing recommendations for changes to work policies and procedures to minimise the risk faced by Coates
- Actively contributing to broader team objectives and assisting with other specialist portfolios within the Risk and Recoveries Team as required
- Actively participating in cross-department work groups targeting specific areas for improvement

**What you’ll bring to the role**
- Prior Accounts Receivables experience
- Debt collection experience is highly regarded, in particular, an understanding of insolvency processes
- Experience working with debt collections agencies is also highly regarded
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and willingness to liaise with internal and external customers
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment - you excel under pressure and your time management skills are top notch
- A team spirit and flexibility to assist your colleagues in managing other specialist portfolios
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Credit Management desired but not essential
