Hays are working with a State Government department to assist with the recruitment of a contract Project Officer. This department enables all Tasmanians to learn, regardless of their age, background or where they live.

**Your new role**

The role of Project Officer is a temporary assignment through Hays at a Band 6 Level for an initial period of four to six months. Duties will include, but are not limited to:

- Managing a project that is already underway, with many moving parts
- Develop and deliver comprehensive project and policy supports and resources to assist with the successful implementation of strategic system improvements
- Undertake high-level project and change management, research and analysis, progress reporting and administrative activities
- Prepare high-level documentation including presentations and briefings

**What you'll need to succeed**

A current Working with Vulnerable People Card is essential, along with:

- Demonstrated high-level project management skills and experience
- Ability to deliver agreed outcomes on time, ensuring high quality results
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, including sound liaison and negotiation
- Strategic, conceptual, and analytical research skills and ability to synthesise relevant information
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare plain English communications, collateral and documentation
