**Key Responsibilities**:
We are looking for a committed and experienced scientific professional who thrives in a collaborative and dynamic laboratory setting. In this important role, you will play a key part in supporting consistent and high-quality testing outcomes by providing quality assurance support across SNP's Biochemistry operations. Your responsibilities will include:

- **Internal Quality Control**: Oversight of QC targets, troubleshooting support, and Biorad Unity assistance.
- **External Quality Assurance**: Lead corporate reviews, education, and annual enrolment planning. Coordinate sample exchange programs, international enrolments, and manage permit processes.
- **Lab Support**: Act as a primary contact for regional and local site troubleshooting, provide QC support, conduct audits, and deliver educational presentations.
- **Method Evaluation**: Oversee the evaluation and implementation of new instruments or methodologies.
- **Corporate Quality Reporting**: Prepare monthly quality reports and contribute to corporate surveillance activities in line with NATA standards across all SNP sites.
- **External Supplier Management**: Coordinate calibrator lot reviews and manage reagent and instrument changes.

The role includes standard rostered hours between 7am and 6pm, with flexibility for travel and adjusted hours as needed.

**What we are looking for**:
You’ll be a passionate scientific professional with a proactive mindset and strong commitment to continuous quality improvement. We're looking for someone who brings:

- A degree or higher qualification in Science, Applied Science, Medical Laboratory Science, or equivalent
- At least 5 years' experience in a clinical laboratory setting
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Previous experience in internal/external QC/QA or auditing (highly regarded)

Familiarity with high-throughput analyser operation and troubleshooting (desirable)
