Clinical Assistant, Central Specimen Reception

Sample preparation for analysis on site or for dispatch to internal or external laboratories with appropriate documentation.
Participate in all rostered shifts which will include days, nights, overnights, weekends and public holidays. Overtime may be required on occasion.

You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following:

- Demonstrated ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment, where duties include data entry, specimen handling, processing and non-technical laboratory duties.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a responsible and efficient manner and without supervision.
- Ability to prioritise workloads and solve problems.
- Proven interpersonal skills and ability to communicate positively with customers, patients and with members of staff.
- History of proactive team behaviours including punctuality, attendance, and respect for others.
- A demonstrated commitment to the principles of quality management and continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications, registrations, and other requirements
- While not mandatory, a Certificate III or IV in Pathology Assistance or the equivalent would be an
- advantage
