**THE OPPORTUNITY**

As the DECJUBA brand continues our exponential growth we are seeking a dynamic Merchandise Planning Manager. This role will be hands on, responsible for both execution and strategic leadership across the department. Directly managing a team of 6 and overseeing a team of 16, you will be tasked the development /implementation of a sustainable merchandise strategy inclusive of financial planning, range planning, trading the department in season, controlling OTB and stock flow, and post seasonal analysis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of leadership and development whilst remaining hands on.

**As a Merchandise Planning Manager at DECJUBA, you will**:

- Development and maintenance of the seasonal merchandise strategy
- In partnership with the Buying Managers, manage the merchandise financial plan to achieve sales & profit targets.
- Work closely with Product & Buying teams through the ranging processes
- Control Markdown budget to ensure that Total Company markdowns are within the agreed level
- Creation and projection of planning strategies and theories that will enhance performance
- Mentor and develop team members, offering continuous training to ensure targets are met and career progression opportunities are clear
- Manage the team ensuring stock is sent to stores in line with department plans and company strategy
- Test and roll out new systems as the business grows

**ABOUT YOU**

You’re currently working in a similar role, or ready to take the next step in your career. You have a strong leadership profile with the desire to grow and nurture teams, whilst remaining strategic in your approach.
- At least 10 years financial experience, including allocations / planning, forecasting and managing a range plan from a retail environment (essential)
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Business, Commerce or Retail related degree
- Experience managing and developing teams
- Strong financial and numerical skills
- Excellent organisational, prioritising and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills
