**What will you do in an average week?**
- Working at a strategic level and in line with the overarching company vision, you will be pushing the boundaries of excellence within your function. This will see you further introducing, developing and executing first class assortment, merchandise planning and inventory strategies as well as initiatives for the business, all with a focus on the end customer and in maximising sales and gross margin to optimise inventory
- Working to your strengths you will be leveraging, investing in, leading and developing your sizeable and talented team of Planning Managers & Leaders. Upskilling, empowering and building succession in your team, will naturally need to be a key focus
- Be taking a balanced focus on all aspects of planning, people development, operations and financial results and ensuring the actions are in place to deliver sales, income and inventory targets that will continue to positively impact the store and category performance and results for the business

**Here's what it will take**:

- Proven experience as a Head of Planning and/or GM Planning role within a high-volume, large retail environment, where you have led a sizeable a senior Planning team
- Proven leadership, visionary and strategic thinking coupled with a real love for merchandise planning. You are incredibly commercial and the type to be always 'on top of the numbers'
- Your style is to integrate strong and clear analysis and business rationale into decision making. You therefore will bring strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse complex quantitative data and make sound commercial recommendations at an overarching business level
- You are at your best when you can work at a strategic level whilst empowering your senior team to lead, coach and develop their teams and the function to further heights. People naturally aspire to work 'with' you...and 'for' you
- You build trust, value others, communicate effectively, drive execution, foster innovation, focus on the customer and stores, solve problems creatively and demonstrate high integrity
- Finally, customer centricity underpins everything you do
