We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Account Receivable Officer to joing our head office team..

**Description**:
About the Role

Reporting to the Accountant you will ensure customer compliance with agreed credit terms, claim management and minimise uncollectable debt in this national role.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Manage the end-to-end accounts receivable function for your portfolio, to ensure customer payments are made within approved terms.
- Manage timely reconciliation of all debtor payments, including following up credits processing, promotional claims and communication to rectify any errors.
- Ensure process around collection and retention of delivery documentation including proof of deliveries and consignment notes is managed effectively.
- Manage customer claims in a timely manner and ensure they are actioned and resolved within an appropriate time-frame
- Prepare reports as required to assess accounts receivable performance and support bad debt write offs.
- Support the team during the implementation of the new system aimed to improve processes and team efficiency

Skills, Experience and Abilities
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Experience in FMCG industry will be advantageous
- Significant experience in collections and claims management in a high-volume environment
- Experience in using business systems including large ERP
- High attention to detail, strong capabilities in terms of prioritising work and meeting deadlines
- Flexibility and open-mindedness to work effectively in a team environment
- Highly driven and organised with a positive ‘can do’ attitude
- Well-developed computer skills with intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
