**Resource Planner** plays a pivotal role in supporting the operational areas of the business in the planning, coordination and allocation of resources including plant and materials.
The position supports the Construction Managers, Finance and Procurement Teams in providing a complete logistics function to benefit the whole of the company and maximise these assets' efficiency through effective planning and processes.

**In this position, you will**:

- Coordinate internal and external plant to maximise utilisation and productivity to monitor and report on.
- Coordinate the delivery of materials and resources (internal and external) to project sites.
- Oversee the contractual arrangements for hired materials and equipment.
- Investigate and prepare reports for internal and external plant utilisation.
- Analyse costs, utilisation, productivities, current market rates and trends to achieve the best financial outcomes for the business.
- Publish the daily program of each site’s resources to site management and report on key deliverables for the team as required.
- Coordinate overnight floats and daily refuelling with sub-contractors per contractual and operational requirements.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to workplace health and safety, risk management, environmental maintenance, and continuous improvement.
- Liaise closely with all areas of the business in delivering a responsive service.
- Support and promote a positive team culture, which fosters collaboration and problem solving to meet the needs of site teams and shared learning.
- Exercise sound judgement and initiative, including an ongoing review of business systems and processes, as part of our client's company's continuous improvement.

**We are looking for someone who has**:

- Extensive experience in the management of plant and materials used in the civil construction industry.
- Experience in the transport of plant and materials, including programming and scheduling.
- Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated experience of working in a team environment and autonomously achieving the best outcomes.
- Computer literacy and excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Attention to detail and advanced planning and organisation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to implement and foster a service approach.
- Knowledge of contract management, plant hire and procurement.
- Current driver's licence and Construction Industry White Card.
