**About the role**
The Transition Program Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that new services and changes to existing services are implemented in a coordinated fashion including benefits realisation and project disciplines. In this role you will be able to influence the direction of the road map and coordinate a lot of projects that will help Council achieve virtual council objectives.
This position will report to the CIO and will collaborate and partner with the Executive to ensure alignment of program delivery with engagement and input (where appropriate) from the respective council stakeholders.
This position will also be responsible for setting clear expectations, performance standards, values and behaviours that are integral to the fabric of an outstanding organisation.
You can also expect to:
- Manage the portfolio, including the development and delivery of ALL technology projects.
- Own the delivery of ALL technology projects. The role will ensure the program is scoped and validated against the IT Strategic Roadmap and the Council’s overall Business Strategy.
- Lead the creation of virtual IT projects teams including technical product owners, technical business analysts, partner engineering, project, and delivery teams.
- Ensure all Technology projects are managed within the Bayside Council project management framework
- Ensure all Technology projects are reported to the IT steering committee in terms of scope, cost, schedule, and benefits realisation
- Project Management of IT projects in collaboration with IT project manager
- Manage a team of technology transition experts - IT Project Manager and Technical Business analyst
- Manage and own the IT Program of Work - this includes the validation of projects identified in the IT Strategy, resourcing, benefits realisation, and formal reporting to the IMT Steering Committee.
- Responsible for the hand over to the service delivery team and co-ordinates any updates or changes required to services before hand over.
- Deliver IT Projects on time and on budget, measured through IMT Steering scorecard.
- Effective hand over to operations of technology change, measured through number of unplanned incidents and service request.
- Achieve customer Satisfaction with IT performance (Measured through yearly IT survey) Rating = above 6/10.
- Return on IT investments measured through tangible and intangible benefits
**About you**
We are looking for someone who has:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical information to a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Proven capacity to develop and implement complex digital programs and initiatives, including the capability to plan, manage change, improve performance and project manage.
- A leader with a track record of running IT programs that are aligned to the broader Business Strategy, to ensure effective deployment, engagement and collaboration with the broader council.
- Advanced understanding of user needs of IT and extensive knowledge of IT trends, issues and opportunities particularly those relevant to local government including mobility, online services, geospatial, business intelligence, and cloud computing with relation to Governance and Security.
- Excellent strategic, conceptual, analytical and lateral thinking skills and demonstrated expertise in positively leading and influencing organisational change programs and projects particularly those related to IT.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and presentation skills including demonstrated ability to build productive relationships and skilfully communicate strategy and complex issues to a wide variety of audiences.
