Exciting opportunity for a Policy Officer within the Victorian Public Sector

This Victorian Public Sector statutory body is responsible for the administration of the Disability Service Safeguards Act, which involves the regulation of all disability workers in Victoria.

**Your new role**
***
Reporting to the Principal Strategic Advisor and working within a small team, the Policy Officer will be required to provide strategic advice and policy recommendations to a variety of stakeholders and develop new or improve existing operational policy and processes while ensuring compliance with legislation.

**What you'll need to succeed**
***
To be successful in this role you will have previous experience providing strategic and solution-oriented policy advice. This will be supported by;
- Experience in the practical implementation of legislative reform programs, writing complex briefs informed by legislation and expert knowledge in regulatory frameworks.
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant government legislation and state and national disability services.
- Knowledge of or ability to understand the range of perspectives about disability services in the disability sector would be an advantage.
- A tertiary qualification in a field related to public policy, regulation, education, health or human services management will be highly regarded.
