Are you a visionary leader with a passion for transforming surgical care? Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) is seeking a dynamic Manager Surgical Services Improvement to shape the future of surgical care for one of Australia’s fastest-growing regions.
**About the Opportunity**
The Manager, Surgical Services Improvement will drive the rollout of the Surgical Services Plan 2024-2029 - a bold and transformative roadmap designed to reshape the planned surgical patient journey across the Central Coast Local Health District. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to step into a brand-new leadership role, where your vision and expertise will directly influence how surgical care is delivered for years to come.
You will be supported by the Strategic Surgical Planning Committee, working alongside senior leaders and clinicians to drive innovation, improve access, and deliver lasting impact for patients and communities across our region.
This is your chance to:
- ** Redesign the surgical patient journey** from referral to recovery - improving outcomes, streamlining access, and enhancing patient experience.
- ** Lead multidisciplinary collaboration** across integrated booking unit, surgical and procedural departments, inpatient wards, and theatres at both Gosford and Wyong Hospitals.
- ** Drive innovative service improvement**for a wide range of surgical specialties including ENT, General Surgery, Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Urology, Endoscopy and more.
- ** Solve complex challenges** in access, flow, workforce planning, and resource optimisation - all while delivering high-quality care for a growing and ageing population.

**About You**
- You bring relevant qualifications or equivalent experience, with a strong understanding of planned surgical care in public health.
- You have successfully led change and quality improvement projects in complex health settings, particularly in surgical services.
- You are a skilled collaborator, able to engage diverse stakeholders and drive outcomes across multidisciplinary teams.
- You have sharp analytical skills and can manage multiple priorities while evaluating service performance and improvement.
- You are passionate about improving care systems, with a commitment to clinical governance, safety, and patient-centred outcomes.
