**Your new role**

Reporting to the Head of Investment Operations within Fund Services, this role exists to lead & support the ongoing design, development, maintenance & management of the Fund’s Private Markets Operations and Fund Operations.

Private Market Operations have been recently centralised under this position with the view to significantly uplift capability & capacities in order to support the global expansion of the Fund as it further pivots into direct Infrastructure & Property assets, Private Equity and Private Credit.

Fund Operations accountabilities include the governance & oversight of the Crediting Rates /Unit Pricing activities for the Funds Investment Options, and the end to end management and co-ordination of business integration activities (across the Fund and our third party providers) when trading in new portfolios, new markets, new instrument types, new market segments; and when conducting transitions.

This is a contract role until April/May 2025.

Key Responsibilities include:

- Providing thought leadership in the design of the end-to-end Private Markets & Fund Operations capability including all operating model considerations (People; Process; Systems; Data; & Vendor Services) to both support the Private Market Investment teams, and to ensure that the Fund Operations are robust, resilient, and operate at a cadence appropriate for an institutional investment business;
- Rapidly developing a robust understanding of the Fund’s existing Private Markets operations capabilities with a view to determining how these should evolve and develop as the Fund investment activities expand globally in North America and Europe;
- Developing the Portfolio Oversight team currently responsible for Private Market Operations, Business Integration Services, and the Fund’s Crediting Rate governance and oversight activities into the new Private Market & Fund Operations capability within Operations;
- Collaborating with senior stakeholders to drive an efficient, effective, and seamless integration of global Private Market capabilities across the value chain (i.e. Investment Management, Operations, & Vendor Services) to ensure maximum value can be derived from the capability for the benefit of our members.
- Determining and recommending the optimal global operating model required to support Private Market investments out of the Fund’s international office network in London and New York and how this should best evolve;
- Working closely with the Investment Operations & Reporting Leadership Team to design, develop and implement the next evolution of the Fund’s Global Investment Operating Model, and determine the appropriate Private Markets & Fund Operations capability;
- Ensuring that the Business Integrations Services supporting the establishment of new Investment activities are robust, well-managed & maintained, and operate at an appropriate cadence which meets the “speed to market” expectations of the Investment teams;
- Ensuring the Fund’s Crediting Rate governance, management and oversight activities are robust, well-managed & maintained, and are fully compliant with market regulatory obligations;
- Providing business leadership and expertise in the design and implementation of a new Fund Operations operating model to support the Fund desire to move from Crediting Rates to Forward Unit Priced member options;Leading and directly managing the Private Markets & Fund Operations capability into its next evolution.

**What you'll need**

Essential:

- A tertiary qualification in investments, business, finance or related discipline;
- Demonstrated experience with large business transformation initiatives in the financial services industry;
- Senior Leadership roles in Private Market Operations &/or Fund Accounting Operations;
- Significant Domain knowledge in one or more of the following Investment functions:

- Private Markets
- Fund Accounting & Unit Pricing
- New Investment Activity management ( _from set-up to transition across the end-to-end value chain _)
- Significant experience with Investment product & service capabilities. (i.e. - Investment Management, Investment Operations, Fund Accounting, Fund Administration &/or Custody);
